BROWS:

Aftercare

Please carefully read all of the aftercare instructions so that you get the best results.

Day 1 (Day of the Procedure)

  • During the first 24 hrs after the procedure, gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid, this prevents hardening of the lymph. Do this every 5 minutes for the full day until oozing has stopped. DO NOT GET IT WET!

Day 2 - 7

  • After 24 hrs, wash daily to remove bacteria and dead skin. Gently use your fingertips to wash the area each morning and night with water and an antibacterial soap like Dial Soap, Cetaphil or Neutrogena. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat the area dry with a clean tissue. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants. DO NOT scrub or rub forcefully

  • FOR DRY SKIN: Gently apply Vaseline or Vitamin A & D ointment once a day. This provides pain relief, moisturizes, prevents infections, promotes healing and helps retain colour. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The ointment should be barely noticeable on the skin.

  • FOR OILY/ COMBO SKIN: You do not need to moisturize. Keep the area as dry as possible, the natural oils of your skin is enough to keep them moisturized.

  • Make sure when you get it wet to blot it dry as soon as you can.

During Day 1 to Day 7  (or until the scabs are gone)

Please Avoid:

  • Do not directly shower the treated area. Limit your showers to 5 minutes to avoid too much steam.

  • Avoid swimming, lakes, hot tubs, soaking, steam bath and facials for first 10 days.

  • Use a fresh pillowcase and avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days

  • DO NOT rub, scratch or pick along the tattooed area. Early removal of pigment crusts may result in loss of colour.

  • DO NOT apply makeup including sunscreen on the pigmented area during the healing process.

  • Avoid applying exfoliants or AHA/glycolic acid products to the tattooed area for at least 2 weeks.

  • No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks

  • Avoid hot, sweaty exercise for one week

  • Avoid sun exposure (including tanning beds ) for 4 weeks after procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors.

  • The eyebrows may be swollen for the first few hours. The color will look darker for the first 5 days until the scab peels off, then it will look smaller and lighter

  • Try to sleep on your back during the healing process.

DO NOT pick the eyebrows scabs. They will become flaky but do not get tempted to pick the dry skin.

If the brows get itchy, gently dab it with a clean cotton swab. NEVER SCRATCH OR RUB WITH FORCE. DO NOT PREMATURELY SCAB THE PIGMENT OFF YOUR BROWS. LET THEM SCAB OFF NATURALLY.

Touchups (if needed) can be done no sooner than 6 weeks after the original appointment.
